My Buddy got a little surprised

This photo was made about a year ago, when Ed & Trudi drove across the border with me and Cheri to visit an old copper mining town. These two people have been adopted by me and Cheri, because we love them and if we had to list the 10 most interesting people we know, they would both make the list for both of us. Posted by Picasa

This is Ed Hardigree, he has been married to Trudi for a really long time. These two have just finished building a house on the Arizona side of the Mexican Border. They are two of the most interesting people we know.
Because they have just completed their little adobe casita in the high desert it was not great timing for them to make the trip to SMA. Yet I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Ed showed up one afternoon or night at our door.

This is Butch Glasgow of Palmetto, Florida with Ed Hardigree. Butch and his long-term girlfriend Marie were invited to join us and Butch wanted to but Marie may not have been up for the trip.
Butch is showing me and Ed his antique care collection. He had cars from the 1920's and before all the way up to today, at least fifty. There were so many cars and motorcycles he had to drive us to at least three warehouses to show us all of the ones he had in Florida at the time. I almost went to work for Butch, he made me a generous offer, but I was not willing to make a long enough commitment to make it work for both of us and his board of directors.

More on Heinz and Steve, this is a collage from the last trip we made to Mexico two years ago. We sailed to Isla Mujeres, (The Island of Women) from Key West ( The Island of All Kinds) and back. Here you can see Heinz eating baby octopus and sleeping off a drinkin' night.
Steve going ashore with me in the dink to see his wife and his secretary/assistant at a luxury resort near Cancun. I know he will never make that mistake again. We also rented a small power boat to run up to Isla Contoy to do some really cool snorkeling and diving.

Heinz S. and Steve T. are great buddies that I have shared several adventures with. They are always willing to come and join the festivities and excitment no matter where in the world I am.
I cannot tell you what they do for a living without checking your security clearance first, and even posting this much info might get me in trouble, but what the hey, not many people are looking at this, right ?

This is Mike and Joanne. They are from Sweden and make a real sweet couple. Joanne is a model that is 7'-8" tall and really built well. Mike is a commercial pilot as well, so he may get to fly here for free. It would be great if they come because pictures of her with Cheri next to her (4'-11") makes for quite a contrast.  Posted by Picasa

This is FedX Eddy, he is a Pilot for FedX and an Alaskan. We met him and his girl Leigh on his yacht "SummrBreez" down in Key West, Then in Alabama & Mississippi.
Ed may have a one or two day lay-over in Mx. close enough to drop in on us for a day or two. We hope so, he is a riot. Posted by Picasa

Max and Bill are from Alabama. They are set to arrive here in SMA the last week of the month. They have never been here and Cheri and I are looking forward to sharing our favorite city with them.
Max & Bill run an investment firm specializing in maintaining wealth and asset management. In this photo they are going thru one of the many locks on the Tom-Bigbee Waterway on my boat "Whittler's Dream". They helped us bring it up part of the way from Mobile Bay to the Hills of Tennessee. I think they will love San Miguel, but they are apt to see a different part of it than Cheri and I because they are typically night owls and will be allowed to sleep in. This is something Cheri & I cannot do, since we are getting up way before dawn. Studying for spanish classes requires some sacrifice.
